I’m back, once more…

I know I’ve not been keeping up my promise.

I know I’ve disappointed a bunch of folks out there who have been visiting my site over and over again but never seem to get any updates from it.

I know somebody is following my blog yet I don’t bother to acknowledge it.

All I can say, is that I could only update whenever I’ve in the mood, yeah, the MOOD to write and to share, which I seldom have.

Anyway, just to spice things up a lil; I’m certainly hoping to update a little bit about what’s hot and lame about my life.

So here it goes:

Last week, I received an unexpected letter from the Perdana Leadership Foundation to inform that I’ve won a consolation prize for an essay I submitted last year before I enrolled into UM. I was expecting better but certainly, many other better entries had knocked out my chances to get my hands on the brand new Chevrolet Aveo. I had to reject the offer to attend the prize-giving ceremony because my attachment was underway during the award day. It was so disappointing; all I get was a mere RM50 MPH voucher. My friends were pretty supportive though, cheering me up all the way. Many thanks, my dear friends! I shall work harder next year should they decide to organize the 3rd round of this competition. I can’t believe I couldn’t outwit my brother. He won 1st place in the 1st installment of this competition a couple of years ago. I certainly hope to do better next time. :D

Recently, I’ve won a copy of Norton 360 Version 3.0. It is a new software that has released into our local software market in the previous month. It was quite easy to win it. Well, how?

On Wednesday, I woke pretty early in the morning, about 7.30 a.m. To my surprise, I’ve never woken up that early ever since my exam ended. After helping out my mom with her daily house chores, I decided to turn on the TV & switched it to NTV7. Not long after, an advertisement popped up on my screen for viewers to submit their entries for a shot at one of the 5 Norton 360 giveaways. All we need to do was to write in 2 slogans; one detailing why you need the software, while the other telling them why you enjoyed watching the breakfast show. I submitted mine and got a call in the afternoon around 2am regarding my winning. The very next day, my dad collected the prize on my behalf. I’ve installed the software on 2 PCs now; both my laptop and family PC. :D

Now imagine; I won a software that costs more than RM200 by merely writing 2 slogans as compared to winning a RM50 MPH voucher by writing a 1500-word essay. Sigh…

Today, I finally received my result slip from UM. As expected, my result is A. Forget about studies first, I’ve had enough for the previous year, toiling months after months in hopes of passing my 1st professional exam only to end up with an A. How amazing! I should be grateful but I still have trouble overcoming my failure to pass my viva distinction interview. I know I should be contented with what I achieved, but sometimes, I find it hard to accept failures even though I fare better as compared to my other course mates. Life’s like that. Some people have a tendency to go further, and further; but obviously missed out on other things in life. Yet they are oblivious to them, and still strive for better. That’s me; so stubborn to want to enjoy life’s little pleasure but rather submerged himself in stress and pressure. I vowed to change it; but I think I need more time for that to materialize. Argh!...

Next Monday, my attachment with Tanjong plc kicks off with a 3-day outdoor experiential training (camp) in Gopeng, Perak, followed by a 2-day indoor classroom training at its office in Maxis tower, KLCC. I’ve packed my stuffs at home, and am all geared up to outdo and outwit my other compatriots in the camp. Well, not exactly, haha…I hope to have fun and perhaps, get to know more about my other fellow scholars from various backgrounds. Let’s hope it’s fun and engaging. Seems my 1st month of my 2-month holiday is wrapping up faster than I thought, while I didn’t seem to enjoy much like I thought I would. I hope the attachment will add meaning to my holiday this time & leave wonderful, yet unforgettable memories in my life.
